I have had the 1991 coaching tapes remastered on DVD, all 8 hours of them. I got five spare sets made which I will sell at $25 a set of four. More tomorrow. Will reserve one set for Sue and Steph who nudged me into doing this. A great big thank you to retired remastering pro, David Stock (905) 825-8544 stockduplication@gmail.comDavid sacrificed countless hours on
making these videos much more watchable and
listenable. A few times, the audio is a bit out of
sync with the video - David is not a sailor - but
nothing too bad. Some of the info is understandably
dated, being 25 years old or so, but all in all, I
feel these are a wonderful resource that features
resources such as Mike McNamara coaching footage
plus a close look at Mike's roll tack techniques and
rudderless sailing in a nice breeze off the TSCC
docks. Filling in the final half-hour or so is a
1981 recording of a Warm Water Saturday night with
Rocket Roy Riddell, Don Gallagher and other musical
and comic talents. Best regards, Uncle Al W3854 1991: Mike Mac holds forth at the Toronto Sailing & Canoe Club Mike stepped into Randy Park's W3613 and demonstrated the roles of both helm and crew during roll tacks and then dazzled all of us on-lookers as he proceeded to sail rudderless in the above breezy and boat-littered surroundings without so much as a single close call. A master - and a great teacher! Fall 1991: Uncle Al beautifies
Oakville's West River Village with a SHADES
on the lawn while talking sail shape.
