An exciting
run followed which was again dominated by the need to
be inside at the leeward mark prior to the very short
port tack reach to the finish. Holding their lead and
capturing the Danish title once again were Anders
Friis with Sune Sigsgaard. And very deserving, popular
winners there were, too!! Congratulations!! The
Ammentorps, Poul og Irene, came back to take 2nd from
Joel Bøgh and Jon Kjartansson who enjoyed their best
finish of the series in 3rd. Next, we had ...

While
Mogens cruises along and can relax, the three boats
off his transom - Bo Christensen (2042), Steen
Schubert (white spi behind Bo, and Stephan
Nandrup-Bus (orange deck) - are all inside Søren and
will have room if they can get there fast enough to
claim it.

Ooops!
Forgot about Steen and Carina in 9067. A lot to be
learned from Steen and Carina's rounding: Carina has
done a fine job keeping the spi perfectly trimmed -
if she messes up here, four boats go by and a 7th
becomes an 11th!! In a situation such as this, you
must sail high after rounding, especially with the
finish only 200 m. of reaching away - and Steen is
doing this just they way he should. Søren meanwhile
(yellow deck behind Steen) just manages to get
around before Bo (2042) and Stephan (red spi) can
claim room, and takes 8th behind Steen and Carina.
