A little oil to lubricate the starter's pistol - one of the things done differently in Denmark is that the sound signal which draws your attention to the flag being hoisted is in two parts: a shell is fired about 10 metres into the air (sound 1) and the shell then explodes with a louder bang (sound 2) exactly at the moment of flag hoisting/lowering (e.g. Warning/Start).
