Marc Bennett Wins 2013 Wayfarer Regatta

Regatta Winner

May 18, 2013. The Wayfarers came to Lake Lansing today and found a beautiful day, pleasant breezes and good fun.

With challenging light and shifty winds, the racing was competitive on the water with plenty of opportunities to gain and lose. Eleven boats raced, with competitors from far and wide - Florida, Ontario, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania. 6 races were run with a throw out, then steak, beer, chicken and good conversation under sunny skies. Richard Watterson raced his new Wanderer and John Kolstoe raced a CL-16.

The winner was Marc Bennett with crew Julie Seraphinoff as they ran off a series of six first place finishes. LSC's Brad Kleihege was the 1st place non-spinnaker boat. John McEnhill won most improved over last year.
