Wow! What a start for Gary and Rob (2679) who snuck across on port
while Mark, Marc and Al (near the mark) got stalled as they were fighting each other.

... Al (600) and Mark (7673) worry more about beating each other than about beating Gary (2679).

The beginning of the end for Al (600) as Mark tacks and will be ahead. As I recall, we tacked to leeward to boatspeed test with Mark but again could barely keep up with him and Paul most of the time. Mark and Paul never did give up the lead after this! Gary and Rob did not fare terribly well off on the right side of the beat and were soon no longer a threat.
