"Told you so," says Richard, who nonetheless made it out in time for race 1.

Indeed, a lovely little breeze has filled in!! The I flag (yellow with black dot) had been used as our Prep Signal which means that the "arounds the ends rule" is in effect (anyone, part of whose boat crosses the line during the final minute of the countdown must return to the correct side of the line around one of its ends)    - click here for larger image
