No race 5 for Frank and Kim who have a long trip back to Ottawa and appointments to keep.
A lovely gust carries them back towards the ...

Meanwhile the race 5 countdown is underway for the rest of us.

Heider is not doing well after hitting the right corner once again. Nor is Al (l). Heider's choice left Al with tough choices: Al was counting 1-2-2-(3) against Heider's 1-1-2-(5) and in simplest terms could not afford to lose to Heider. But halfway up the first beat, we began to realize that just beating Heider would not necessarily be enough. With the left side having once again paid, I believe we were sitting 5th to Heider's 6th at the end of the first beat. Sitting on that, and sailing to keep Heider 5th or worse would give us the title, but that went against the grain and was never considered as an option. Instead, we decided to do the best we could and let the chips fall where they may. In the end, we lost a very exciting race to the brothers Taylor, by about a foot, and ended the series tied with Heider and Tom, a not unpleasing result.
