Three merry sailors pose
in
front of the chalet that was for years, the
social headquarters of the Trout Lake Wayfarer Weekend.
Friday and
Saturday night, there was partying and dancing in the
huge main hall of
the chalet, with the highlight arriving at 11 p.m.
Saturday as Fred
McNutt brought out his 20-foot long Tibetan horn to blow
the sailors to
attention. The TV was turned on and we got to watch
filmed coverage of
the day's Cruise Race taken by the North Bay TV
station's reporters
from Wes McNutt's helicopter. Sunday afternoon's
après-race
festivities
included a true "happy hour" with free drinks, followed
by a sumptupous
dinner, which in turn was followed by more dancing.
