... we have Uncle Al with Judy Westcott in Beaver Blues, a brand new composite Mk II from Avon Sailboats in Michigan. W4000 had a cut-down Elvstrom FD mast because black anodized looked so good to Al. Only a year later, the WIC would change the mast rules to make Proctor masts the only acceptable ones. The boat looked very nice but was, alas, 50+ pounds overweight.
