the 2007 North Bay
Wayfarer Weekend photos by Andy Douma (W9913) |
Sneaking into the North Bay
YC
... ... |
... Port Tack Too (W9913)
is suddenly
there the next morning. ... |
This must have been some
time on
Friday since ... ... |
... none of the masts are
up as
yet. ... |
Aha! Now Team Ottawa gets
to
work as Jason and Joan raise the Green
Side Up mast. ... |
Tony and Mary, two of
several
Wayfarers camping out behind the club. ... |
Also part of the campers'
subculture were (l to
r) Andrew,
Joan and Lori - the latter proudly wearing her Lake Eustis
shirt! ... |
Especially the first couple
of
days, the big upstairs room was a nice warm haven. ... |
Looking out at the tent
village
from the back of the club, as ... ... |
... Lori and Joan put the
finishing touches on their weekend home. ... |
Once the weather warmed up
a
bit, this little bay-side whatchamacallit was an even
better place for
conviviality. ... |
Joan checks to see if Lori
missed a drop! ... |
It's a lovely sunset but as
the
jackets attest, still on the cool side: (l to r) Tony, Mary,
Joan ... |
Early Tuesday morning: Camp
is
... ... |
... struck as all that
remains
to complete this glorious weekend is the Trout Lake Poker Race, after which most have to head back home. ... |
Early morning quiet rules
the
yacht basin. ... |
After a nice breakfast
in the Wasi Variety
Store's restaurant,
the convoy of Wayfarers follows Uncle Al who claims he
knows the way.
Tony Krauss (2nd in line) can be forgiven a degree of
skepticism, given
that Uncle Al twice got lost two weeks previously as he
tried to lead
Tony back to the Rock Hall YC.
... |
It's just as well that Lori
(l) and Andrew
don't know that!! ... |
Lori races on past
photographer,
Andy. ... |
This time Al remembered the
way
and now we're all at Bob Brown's place on Delaney Bay. ... |
Projected start time is
10:30 so
none of us ... ... |
... wastes any time getting
rigged up for the Poker Race. |
