We welcome any comments you might have about the
Skippers Meeting, our Sailing Instructions, the conduct of the races by
the RC, the scoring system, or anything race-related, and these should
be directed to
myself. We are
still learning, and this is only my 4th on-the-water regatta as RO. The
flags are new to a lot of our sailors, as for many years we were forced
to operate from the land-based hut (now "Josie's Hut" in honour of
Josephine Scarlett, who you may remember). And I firmly believe that
any RO should be prepared to listen to feedback from racers, especially
those like yourself with many sea miles under your keel.
If you have any comments about the venue, food, etc., you
can pass them to me as well, and we will use them in planning for next
year's events. I'm thinking you might want a keg of Bailey's
placed strategically near the door of the Doug Mackenzie Hall, handy as
you come off the water with cold hands and feet!!
Thanks again for your participation. It was a great
pleasure starting, watching and scoring such a dedicated group of
one-design boaters. Good on You!!!
