Al, please see attached the FINAL (“Official”) results of the Wayfarer fleet of the 2024 Pumpkin Regatta at Fanshawe Yacht Club, September 28 and 29.

It was a great regatta, without snow or sleet, and excellent winds. All conditions were courtesy of the remnants of Hurricane Helene, the center of which was sitting pretty well stationary, if edging slightly westward, over western Kentucky. Saturday saw 10 kt average, gusting 14, once or twice 20 kt, under cloudy skies.

The Wayfarers sailed from a dedicated start, as the last start in each race. In that way, the start box and early parts of the course were free of Lasers, Radials and mixed (Open B) boats from the previous starts.

Courses were strictly Windward-Leeward. While winds were shifty down the course, the start line was generally perpendicular to wind all eight races.

Too bad about your health problems, Al. It seems to be a thing this year in our Club this year as well.

Take care, and we hope to see you with us again next year.
