Island Wayfarer Rally Small Point, Maine * August 13-20, 2005 Uncle Al's Scrap Book: Wednesday, the 17th - 1 pics by Julia and Al Schonborn |
Early to bed, early to
rise: Al captures the pre-dawn low-tide look outside the tent while ... ... |
... wishing he had a coffee. ... |
Chuck and Ginny catch up on
the news while waiting for Al and Julia to arrive at Percy's. ... |
Another briefing on ... ... |
... yet another lovely day ... |
(l to r) Julia, Joe,
Chuck, Margie Harrington, André, Mary Trepal, Nel ... |
And Monique has arrived,
looking lovely in pink ... |
Al surreptitiously
signs
the Rally waiver, hoping that Chuck isn't looking. Chuck is a lawyer
who wholeheartedly disapproves of such waivers since in his experience,
all they do is give insurance companies an excuse to fight having to
pay any claims by an injured party, which, without the waiver, they
might well be inclined to pay more promptly.

... Tom outlines today's

... at Cundys Harbor. ... |

nautical T-shirt ... |
Bold Dick ... |
Kit checks the proposed
route with his navigator, Patsy ... |
Perhaps Mary Trepal's mind
is already on her day ashore but Nel still concentrates. ... |
While her mother who will
sail in Blue Mist today pays close attention, Krystal ... ... |
... finds better things to
occupy her time. ... |
And of course, there's her
little girl to be looked after! ... |
Wayfarers à la
sardine ... ... |
... as Al arrives, eager to
check that ... ... |
... SHADES' freshly re-threaded main halyard will indeed function as required. ... |
It appears that we all made
it through the night unscathed. ... |
Possum looking fine! ... |
Blue Mist, a model
of ... ... |
... Wayfarer cruising
efficiency. You won't find a better example of ... ... |
... "a place for everything
and everything in its place" ... ... |
... anywhere! |
