By the time we were on the home stretch to Cundys Harbor ...
.....

... a lovely NW breeze had settled in ...
...

... mostly ...
...

... and I got so excited at the prospect of getting Lisa, Krystal and Dick in a real action shot, that I inadvertently set the camera one click too far onto "Aperture priority" and badly overexposed this lot! Rats!!!
...

By now I had noticed my error but the chance at a fine close-up ...
...

... had passed.
...

When the first, rather wild, puffs came through, André wisely played it safe and furled his jib, but ...
...

... as the breeze steadied away, the jib came back out, and ...
...

... he and Monique cruised on very nicely.

Lisa, Krystal and Dick one more time

A little zoom action

Dick waited at the busy dock beneath his chosen restaurant and was finally rewarded with a spot.
...

As was André. Beside him is Tom Erickson asking us to sail out to his moored W275 and release the rudder downhaul so that the ebbing tide will not end up leaving his W perched on its rudder - eek! a horrible thought!! Chuck and I, meanwhile, have decided that this mooring out and/or waiting around in very gusty winds is all too much trouble, and that we will just start sailing back to a relaxing afternoon back at Hermit with the ladies.

And a fine ride it was, downwind with the occasional plane thrown in and a bit of breezy gybe practice for Chuck. Lots of space for us at the dock which we reached just in time to hear a gull squawking invective as it pursued this ...

... bald eagle to its perch.
...

The subsequent relaxed afternoon included a trip to the camp pay phone and a leisurely call to the kiddies (aged 17 and 19!) back home in Oakville. After our essential early evening Guinness at the Jordans, we were off to see if the Water's Edge Restaurant would be open.
...

It was - (l to r) Chuck, Ginny, Julia, Al - and provided this lovely view of the very waters that ...
...

... we had sailed earlier that day.
...

The NW winds were still blowing with undiminished vigour.
...

A lovely meal was ...
...

... had by all. The sun had set by the time we left, but we still had one more treat in store for us. In the Kelp Shed, the camp entertainment centre, we would get to see, hear and enjoy ...
