Tuesday morning arrived somewhat ...

... clouds looked to be in the process of being ...

... burned off by the sunshine.
...

No wind to speak of as yet, but clearing skies and a hot day bode well for the development of a lake breeze.

Andrew and Lori have Njord launched, and Andy prepares to follow.

We are all busy, but ...
...

... in no ...
...

... rush.
...

Especially not Tony!
...

Departure time draws near.
...

Tony retrieves and ...

... stows his anchor, while Mary tidies a few other bits. No one needed at the tiller in this calm!!

Today, Dick is joined by Josh who will ...
...
... be doing the ...
...
... steering - and quite nicely, too, may I add!

Tuesday's trip chart - trip out in red, return in green - reflects the morning meeting's decision to exit the Sound once again, but this time, to head south towards to vicinity of Jones Island. The actual landfall will depend on what island offers the most suitable landing spot(s). Again waiting areas have been agreed on, to keep the fleet from getting dangerously scattered.

Always assuming that the wind fills in a bit, at least. Here, off our own Lighthouse Point, a few ripples are becoming visible on the water, ripples into which Andrew Haill has already sailed quite a ways. Meanwhile, the wind is just reaching Josh as he crosses SHADES where Julia - a fine helmsperson in her own right - will have the helm today - once the wind fills in!!

Andy Douma (r) heads out under ...
...

... Nelson power!!
...

Tony and Mary tend to share the Uncle Al attitude: If we can't get there by sailing, we'll stay here until the wind comes.

Tom and Nel are happily underway with ...

Our little flotilla, as seen by ...

... Dave Hansman in Windshaker (l) who ...

... along with Andrew (r), was the first to leave.
...

It was slow going for a few minutes, but then ...
