Red Cliff around the south end of Basswood Island (below) ........ |

Among the last to get
off the beach, Richard and Al opted for the short-cut by going back the
way we came In the easterly breeze, this
inside track carried a risk of less "pressure" but would
allow us to re-visit and circumnavigate "Ship Rock". Not to mention
that
it was getting on for 5 PM and time for the evening doldrums. Thus, our
aversion to paddling demanded that we take the shortest route back to
Red Cliff.

as much breeze in here but our destination is not too far off, a mile
or so? And we do still have a bit of beer :) |
