1999 Storer Trophy results

Schönborn, Goulay, Rahn and Goldi dominate '99 Storer Trophy
for best performance in the 4 major North American Wayfarer events!

Although he won only one of the four major events, Uncle Al Schönborn was close enough in the other three events that he was easily able to defend his title to the Storer Trophy. Sailing with an assortment of fine crews who included his son, David (11), John Weakley and Wayfarer Man, Frank Goulay, Al withstood a vigorous challenge from CWA Chairman, Peter Rahn and his son, Alex (13).
In 3rd place was Frank Goulay who crewed for Al in the Canadians and the North Americans and also shared victorious helming duties in this year's Ontarios with Brian Egan.
Apart from Peter and Al, only John and Joan Goldi of TS&CC were the only others to sail all four events as they rolled to a fine 4th-place finish. Complete results follow:
