Entries & Eligibility

The 2026 Midwinter Regatta is open to all Wayfarer and CL16 class sailboats, with separate Spinnaker and Main & Jib (no spinnaker) divisions.

Racing is governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, the Wayfarer Class Rules, the Sailing Instructions, and the Notice of Race.

Schedule

The Midwinters traditionally run over three days from Friday to Sunday, with multiple races scheduled each day (conditions permitting), daily breakfasts, lunch on the water, and a club dinner on Saturday evening.

The 2026 event runs from Friday, January 30 through Sunday, February 1. A practice session is planned on the preceding day, and a cut-off time for the final warning signal applies on Sunday.

Registration & Fees

All entries are handled online via ClubSpot . No onsite registration will be accepted.

The standard entry fee is US $210, with an early-bird discount if you register before the deadline. Your entry includes breakfasts, lunches on race days and the Saturday evening dinner for skipper and crew.

Additional meals for guests can be ordered as part of the online entry.

Lodging & Camping

Camping is available on the grounds of the club (on the north side of the building), with showers and toilets available in the clubhouse.

Camping and RVs are permitted from the day before the regatta to the day after the regatta.

VHF radios will be the primary means used by the race committee to communicate with competitors (delays, recalls, etc.). Channel numbers will be advised at the club.
