George Blanchard presents the Red Herring Award to Doug Netherton for best exemplifying the W spirit in 2003.
..

Our 2003 Rookies of the Year were Steve Hallwood and his father, Alan.
..

The equivalent of reaching the Hall of Fame in Wayfarers: Sid Atkinson's nearly 40 years of sailing and supporting the Wayfarer with everything from photos to measuring, earned him the George Smith Trophy.
..

A Bronze Spirit Award for Kit Wallace, our newly and happily married Membership Secretary
..

In the uproar following this presentation, we realized how much we missed our usual MC, Mike Codd, and his wife, Darlene. Darlene and Mike had just finished making the many preparations for our AGM as they always do so well, when they fell ill and could not attend. Uncle Al did remember to award the Lansdown Spittoon to Peter Ayres (W1191) in absentia, complete with the traditional story of how the Spittoon was won. But no one remembered to present the Storer Trophy (behind George's hands) to Uncle Al, his son, David, Marc Bennett and Frank Goulay, who this year accomplished the rare feat of winning all four major North American Wayfarer events: the Ontarios, the Canadian and U.S. Nationals plus a share of the North Americans.
