This time, it's an Olympic triangle course for us. With the winds now gusting out of the SSW ...
...

... the fleet is completing its first windward leg and about to enjoy a couple of lively reaches.
...

Steven and Owen Vail await the next gust while ...
...

... Tony and Stu Cond have just been surprised by one.
...

Alfred and Craig show good reaching form except that their rudder blade appears to be angled aft some, which will greatly magnify the effects of weather- or lee helm. The rudder blade should be vertical at all times - most certainly in winds such as these.
...

Eric and Gary looking good!
...

As are Peter and Jim Foster
...

Most boats starting the first reach
...

Jesse and Jesse would benefit from more vang to keep their boom level and their main from twisting off too much.
...

Bill Hibbard and Charles McLaughlin sail their boat nice and flat but could sit about a foot further forward.
...

Conrad Peters and crew, Carl Enns, are in fine form, as are ...
...

... Mac and Nick - a newer main wouldn't hurt, though
...

A lovely sight as the fleet proceeds down the first reach
...

Bob and Grant have their boat nicely flat but they're sitting too far aft and the main could likely be out further.
...

Charles Marquardt rummaging on the reach
...

Aah! That's better!
...

Even with his main looking seriously overtrimmed, Conrad is getting a nice ride.
...

Those curved sails look lovely and artistic but both Jesse (1143) and Bill (1186) could stand to have ...
...

... more vang tension to let their mains set at an even angle to the wind all the way up.
...

Bill (1186) got buoy room and has gybed nicely inside of Jesse (1143), but Bill is now windward boat and must keep clear of 1143.
...

A close fight between Eric (2469) and Peter at the start of the second reach
