Return of the Golden Oldies! What a lovely surprise awaited us on Saturday morning as Maggie and Peter Bassin, flanked here by two more Wayfarer old timers, Dennis Platt (left) and George Blanchard, dropped in to say hello. Peter and Maggie, sailing out of the Conestoga SC, won several North American titles in W421 Pippa during the 1960's before moving on to sailing catamarans and doing some serious skiing!
.....
Three Golden Oldies from the 60's: Sid Atkinson (left) with Peter and Maggie. These three had a bit of time to chat about the glory days of Wayfarers in the 60's where we got 40+ boats to the Warm Water, etc., before Sid had to get changed and get out there to race W3618!
.....
The new pride of the Conestoga Sailing Club:(left to right) Brody Wight, Alan Laderoute and Stefan Larson - 470 sailors who tried Wayfarers for the first time this weekend and enjoyed the experience! Come sail with us any time, guys!
.....
Dennis Platt (left) brought a guest (whose name I've misplaced, sorry!) for the post-race festivities.

Looking quite fresh after three races' worth of bouncing around in the Humber Bay chop
are Dolores deBoer and George Blanchard.
.....
Back after a two-year absence from Wayfarers were Nora Cullen and former CWA Chairman, Randy Park.
.....
Showing that being married agrees with them are our Yearbook Editors, Frank Goulay, and his wife, Lucy.
....
Waiting for the BBQ dinner: While the geezers guzzled, the younger generation played rock, paper, scissors. Annemarie Pedersen (paper) has just defeated her brother, Chris (rock).
.....
This game brought Uncle Al fond memories of getting thrown out of more than one restaurant: the object being to have the coin hang partially off the edge of the table in no more than 4 shots, and then "kick" a "field goal". Here, Chris and Annemarie are watched by the avid fans, Alex Rahn (left) and Carl Shepherd.
.....
It's practically a gimme for Annemarie who makes the shot and will now try for a ...
.....
... field goal: "It's down, it's up, and it iiiiiis..... good!!"
