No hangovers aboard this boat!!

The rest of the fleet exits the TBYC harbour across jewelled waters.

With the Postponement flag flying lazily, our RC of

do a final pre-sequence check.

The Thwings in good form!

..
The speed test begins. Jennifer checks the slot.

Maybe that upper main leech tickler is flying too well? On fairly flat water, once the speed is up, the main can be oversheeted to increase the pointing. Of course, you need to be sensitive to any speed loss, and at its first sign, ease the mainsheet a bit to get up to speed once again.

... Wayfarer Man!!!
...
No sooner said than done!
...
What a team!
..
Matt Princing (l) and John McCree are suitably impressed.
...
True to Murphy's Law, the RC chose this moment to start our 5-minute start sequence.
But, as always, Frank kept his cool, finished putting the pins back in, etc. - all with over a minute to spare before our start!
