Approaching mark 6: Joe DeBrincat and Mike Anspach (1115) fight to hold their 2nd as John and Dolores de Boer (7351), Dave Hansman with Ross Jamieson (282) and Nick Seraphinoff with Joe Blackmore (864) gave beautiful chase!
...

Frank Harmgardt (171156) gurgles up the final beat towards the finish, as ...
...

... Joe DeBrincat gybes towards #6, hoping he will still be ahead of ...
...

... Bob Kennedy (3571), Dave Hansman (282), Nick Seraphinoff (864) and Mike Codd who are closer to the shore on this side.
...

Rick Goldt (38585) meets ...
...

... Frank Harmgardt (171156).
...

About to take first place in Y's, Richard and Lisa King tack to cross Joe DeBrincat (1115) who has solidified his hold on Wayfarer 2nd over Dave Hansman (far right) who will score a fine 3rd.
...

As Richard and Lisa cross, Joe makes a last-second decision to ...
...

... tack and cover Dave Hansman who ...
...

... looks like he has a nice lift and puff right under the cliff. John de Boer (7351) meanwhile, decides to ...
...

... tack off this starboard knock. But it may be too late. Dave (282) will cross him unless he loses his wind!
...

Joe DeBrincat and Mike Anspach romp across the line with a fine-looking 2nd as ...
...

... Dave Hansman and Ross Jamieson cross John and Dolores de Boer to take ...
...

... 3rd place.
...

John has made it close by tacking for the favoured leeward end and almost steals 3rd from Dave and Ross.
...

Bob Kennedy and Ravi Gupta have W3571 in perfect light-air trim as they approach the finish line.
...

When Mike Codd sits to leeward, crew Kirk Iredale has to hike out to balance Red Top, as they cross Steve Dietrich (11). Al and Bill Fick (red hull) mentioned their pointing problems and this picture certainly bears that out!!!
...

Mike and Kirk keep their weight well forward, and a nervous eye on Nick approaching on starboard.
...

Mike and Nick (864) both choose the best angle towards the finish line.
...

Nick and Joe look beautiful against the dark background which more accurately reflects their Fanshawe frustration!!
