Race 6 pics
by Uncle Al

John (7351) and Dave chat as they sail up into Wye Creek while waiting for the 6th and final race.
...

Others rest up at the dock.
...

Ross raids the pantry.
...

John checks that all is as it should be prior to our final race of 2005 while Dolores just sits and looks good.
...

No tensions aboard our North Bay boat!
...

Seconds before the Laser start.
...

Now they're off! Frank (171156), Steve (11) and Rick (38585) look good in the leeward-end-favoured start but could well be trapped on starboard tack by ...
...

... the bunch of boats to windward and astern: (l to r) Brad, Kevin, Oliver, Jon Dietrich, Steve.
...

Hannah and Jacob check out the line.
...

Steve (11) and Rick in a classic duel as they head left towards the mouth of Wye Creek.
...

The first Wayfarer run: Bob Kennedy rounded right behind Marc Bennett (aboard the photography boat!) and this time, wisely chose to avoid the east shore, gybing instead, as Marc did. Here Bob and Ravi have pulled even with Marc and Al who continue to insist on playing the middle of the lake.
...

Right behind us, Dave Hansman (282) and Mike Codd bring up a nice puff.
...

Joe DeBrincat ...
...

... is still in the hunt, too. Dave Hansman (282) chooses to come up with Mike but might do better to take the longer view and run down to stay clear of Mike's wind shadow while also increasing his odds of staying in the puff longer, like ...
...

... John de Boer is doing!!
...

Ah, we were indeed ...
...
... a beautiful sight!!
...
Run number two: Bob Kennedy is lying a close 2nd, and ...
...

... looking ...

... very good.
...

Further out in the lake, John (7351), Mike Codd (to John's left), Dave (282) and Joe (1115) continue to make it a six-boat race.
...

Joe has company: our unique spectator boat!
...

Marc and Al have pulled away a bit in a puff.
...

Bob (3571) and Dave (282) are looking good.
...

Joe DeBrincat (1115) lulls us to sleep but will come back to grab 2nd before it's all done. Poor Al and Bill (far left) still have their pointing troubles as they near the end of their second beat at last.
...

John de Boer ...
...

... moves into 2nd near the leeward mark.
...

Daniel Chevalier & Bianca Romangnoli tack their 420 ...
...

... nicely.
