Only Steve Currie is on photography duty for these last two races. Most of these photos were taken from the dock below the Chalet.

Course for Race #5:  start (A-B) - O - 1 - 4 - 6 - 1 - finish (A-B); buoys to starboard
...

the Laser start: (l to r) Sue, Ben, Kevin, Matt McC, Jacob, Paddy
...

Wayfarers wait for their start.

Jens (7663) and Sue before the start
...

About a minute or so before the W start: Once again it becomes evident that we won't be crossing the line on starboard.
...

Wow! Mike and Kirk (l) have blasted off the line on port, and left Al (3854), Sue (4677) and Dave in the proverbial dust.
...

As Sue tacks away, Al will play it safe and tack to remain between her and #4. We'll see what can be done about Mike's lead later!
...

Brad running in champion's form
...
While the US Navy circa 1812 motors along, Kevin (yellow hull) and Jacob duel down the east shore.
...

How'd you like to wear that stuff to go sailing??!!
...

No broadsides, one hopes!
...

Steve has changed his perch to the cliff top: Oops! Al's pole topping lift has come uncleated. Notice how a little thing like that has not distracted Julia from her spi duties in the slightest - just the way it should be done!! Lucky Al, to have such a great crew! Not many pics to work from here, but I do recall that we outlucked Mike in the many shifts near #4 and have pulled into a comfortable lead here that we will hold to the finish to clinch series first.
...

Fine form for Len and Andy (6732) and Roger and Rae as they enjoy a strengthening breeze.
...

As Brad (r) leads the Lasers up their second beat, Jeff (7220) and Jens in front of Jeff approach the leeward mark.
...

The final race 5 pic: The Laser on the left is taking a real chance here. Up until now, it has always paid to come over near the Race Hut going upwind in this wind direction. If he was already behind the other five Lasers seen here, I suppose the risk may be worth the reward.
