Lisa prepares to ...
...
... get underway.
...
Joan takes the tiller while Lisa re-softens her sailing gloves.
...

Windshaker heads on out. The wind remains fairly light out of the WSW so that we should have a broad reach home.
...

Carol has the spinnaker under control.
...

Andrew (l) and Bill luff up a bit while they get things squared away, before they turn to follow ...

Njord spinnaker reaches along the far side of this "rock" from SHADES.
...
You'll never guess who took this shot. Converging with SHADES off Kilcoursie Bay on a closehauled course is another Wayfarer.
...

What a very pleasant surprise: Jens and Sharon Biskaborn of London's Fanshawe YC ...
...

... were sailing their Wayfarer which they had again brought on their annual Killbear vacation at Kilcoursie. The rest of the ...
...

... family were out ...
...

... on a cruiser with ...
...

... Rick and Sue Goldt (formerly W7660). Like Al, Sue had the camera out and ready.
...

This is what we looked like. A well balanced boat: Note the absence of helm with no one holding the tiller.
...

A quick chat, and we were on our separate ways - not to meet again til the Pumpkin Regatta at the end of September!

I think that this marker that Tony and Mary are just passing is on Cousin Island, not far from our Lighthouse Point destination. Killbear Park is also a favourite place for the Mirror dinghies, one of which can be seen off Trouble's bow.

Ships that ...
...

... pass in the night? Hardly!! With Lighthouse Point just off our bow, we have gybed to ...

... follow Tony and Mary, as well as ...

... Carol and ...

... Dave into our beach - paced by one canoe!!
Now there will be a rush to shower and get clean for the much anticipated Wayfarer Black Tie event.
