| To no one's surprise,
Marc
Bennett and Uncle Al (with help from Michigander,
Mallory Price)
retained their title to the Storer
Trophy, having gained the best
aggregate score
over our four major regattas in 2006. |

Unfortunately, Uncle Al
failed
to get a picture of Trudy Davis giving her official
blessing to our
having changed the name of the George
Smith Trophy, the highest honour the CWA can
bestow, to the Don
Davis Memorial Trophy. The late
Don Davis (W460) was himself one of the earliest winners
of this trophy
which is awarded from time to time to Canadian Wayfarers
who have made
exceptional contributions to our Class over the years.
Alas, this
year's winner, Geoff Edwards, was unable to attend and
missed his
biggest moment of Wayfarer glory.
