the Clark Lake YC Fall Regatta
Thursday & Friday

as seen & recorded by Uncle Al
.. ..

With a fine Rebel to be borrowed, SHADES will get a rest this weekend.
...

It's Thursday evening take-off from Oakville, ON for Uncle Al who wants to avoid the drive through the heavy rains of the remnants of Hurricane Isabel that are to pass through south-western Ontario on Friday - and whose early signs already mark the sunset sky as Al heads towards Detroit where Al will stay overnight with Nick Seraphinoff (W864).
...

Friday evening: Clark Lake has escaped all parts of Hurricane Isabel ...
...
... but has a breezy cold front and its NW winds ...
...
... to usher in its 2003 Fall Regatta.
...
It's a cool evening with ...
...
... with the occasional ...
...
... bits of ...
...
... brilliant sunshine.
...
Just waiting for ...
...
... the weekend's excitement.
...
Regatta Chairman, Tim Dowling, again makes sure that the RC boat is ready for action.
...

Early arrivals, the Feldmans (l) and their Buccaneer, are greeted by Tim Dowling and Dan Hockenberry (r).
...

A fine family resemblance
...

While mom rigs the boat and Tim supervises ...
...

... young Mr. Feldman wonders if his dad was telling the truth when he said the name stands for ...
...

... "Fairly Ugly".
...

Friday night registration closed at 8 PM and ...
...

... after that we headed to the Eagle's Nest ...
...

...for dinner.
