Chris Pedersen joins the group to represent the Jake Maarse Wayfarer.
.....
Dick prepares to hand out some more charts as Charlotte and her mother put in an appearance. Note how Uncle Al has moved moved to the other side of the group leaving Margie (blue jacket) alone in the Smokers' Lounge downwind.
.....
Julia and David S. have joined the growing mob.

The flotilla sets off, leaving the island to starboard, and then north along the east shore of Lake Champlain.
.....
Blue Mist, on port, meets Possum and The Passing Wind behind the island.

Possum and Blue Mist: note the reefing gear on Blue Mist
..
The beginning of the end for the SW weather system wind as seen by Jim and Brenda: If they were racing, the maxim, "When in doubt, let it out" would apply to both their mainsheet and their vang which are giving W9901 an overly tight main leech in these dying airs.
.....
What a beautiful place to sail!

.....
One last hurrah for the SW wind brings out the Pedersens' spinnaker - but, Ivan! Aren't those the Swedish national colours!? I haven't seen any spinnakers with that colour combination in Denmark!!! You'd better watch it or they'll refuse to let you buy any more Gammel Dansk!!!
.....
Annemarie is steering but who's watching the spinnaker?
.....
Akvavit looking good!
.....
The  lake breeze begins as a northwesterly.
.....
But as it stengthens, it veers (to east of north) - just like it says in the "text" books! Now that they have a more substantial breeze, Brenda and Jim's sails look great.
.....
Jake Maarse and Chris Pedersen get a port tack lift under the west shore cliffs - my only shot of their boat since they were mostly too far ahead of us, even for my zoom lens!

The Pedersens return to Button Bay after their long Saturday cruise.

Anxious wives await the return of their loved ones who have been months at sea?

no cut feet despite a lot of stones near shore

.....
At Rosie's, Jake explains the whole thing to Tom and Diane
but Mary, perhaps, has heard it already?
.....
John McClay and Margie and Dick are too deep in conversation to respond to the camera
while Abbey has to taste the wine while Mary still admires Jake...
.....
Julia exchanges parenting tips with Suzanne and Ivan
while the McClay/Harrington conversation gets deeper.

Uncle Al distracts Dick by flashing...

The younger generation was quite well behaved -
although Mister Burger finally was thrown out by Julia, the Bouncer.
