Sunday on shore pics - 2
by Uncle Al as well as Mike and Darlene Codd
.....
John and Dolores deBoer in second place -
no wonder they're smiling: they're staying over for an extra day!!!
.....
 And the winners in Wayfarers:
Roger Shepherd (left) and Al Schönborn in SHADES
.....
Uncle Al shows off his Wayfarer Worlds '98 shirt from Denmark as he applauds the thanks to all the hard-working Clark Lake YC volunteers who make this event so uniquely great every year!
.....
I believe Larry Schmida (left) and Tim Dowling ended up 3rd in the Rebel fleet.
....
Rebels' 2nd: Pat (left) and Mary Vorel
.....
After doing so well in the hotly contested Rebel fleet, Pat Vorel, draws attention to her helm and granddaughter's shirt which says:
Don't think of it as losing. Think of it as getting beat by a girl!
......
Sharing the helming duties aboard the winning Rebel were Dave Nickels (right) and his son-in-law whose name I didn't get. If anyone can supply the name, let me know and I'll make the correction.
.....
The crowd waits in anticipation as Ben Hassell is about to unveil a surprise...
...
Ben and his singing bass!
.....
Not only does sing, it turns its head in time to the beat of the music!
.....
the Wayfarer Fleet ready to hit the road - in lovely sunshine!!!
.....
John deBoer (right) helps his Interlake dinghy park neighbour take down his mast -
a somewhat more complicated routine than on a Wayfarer!!
