On shore - Saturday
pics by Uncle Al, Mike Codd & Joanna Schönborn
Saturday morning: a beautiful, sunny summer's day as the Optis arrive.
..
It's Super-Sitter, Amy Biskaborn, looking after Patrick Carroll while dad, Steve, readies to do Laser battle.
..
Picture #485 that Amy has sat for in the past 24 hours which included the Prom.
..
Sign her up! Erika Goldt tosses the long bomb...
..
... to brother, Aaron, while the ref (?) looks on.
..
She makes the grab!!!
..
Erika at rest.
..
Had Uncle Al used the "fill in" flash, we could have seen that this is Alex Rahn.
..
Peter Wilkins and his helm, Len Macdougall, look very spry despite having completed three tough races.
..
Len explains to his wife, Betty, how it happened and that it was not his fault!
..
Two handsome Wayfarer lads: Grant Town (left) and Jens Biskaborn (the FYC web master!)

The wonders of the digital world: the ladies check out Amy's prom pics from last night while Grant keeps a discreet distance.
..
Jenna Goldt, Amy Biskaborn, Dawn Town and Sharon Biskaborn (the worried mom???)
..
An older but shy-er Paul Town in his mom's arms...
....
... but Al outwaits Paul and catches him peeking.
..
Trying out the digital camera Mike Codd thought the CWA might buy for your web master (above)
OK - but not as good as the scans Al is getting from his 4 x 6 prints done at Loblaw's.
..
Specially imported well water from Walkerton - nothing but the best for our PRO, Rick Goldt!!!
..
Mike Codd enjoys a lovely summer afternoon while trying to teach Al how to use the digital camera.
..
A thoughtful Darlene Codd looks on.
..
Uncle Al with his "Killer" crew, 90 pounds of dynamite, his son, David (13). It was a challenging Saturday for Dave but his (lack of) size became SHADES'  best weapon in the following day's three light-air races!!
..
Uncle Al one more time - not that many pics get taken of Al so we have to use these when we get them!
..
Mike Codd and Joanna Schönborn give Uncle Al a chance to try the digital.
..
The Wayfarer group looks well satisfied with Saturday’s outstanding dinner in the FYC chalet:
(l to r) Julia Schönborn, Betty Macdougall, Dawn Town, George Blanchard, Rick Goldt, Hazel Hewitt and Grant Town
..
More W's: Len Macdougall, Jens Biskaborn, Joe DeBrincat, Ken Greywall, Bob Frick
..
Hazel has come through the day's grind just fine but her helm seems a bit peak-ed!
..
Half the fun of racing is the post-mortems!
..
Ken and Bob, the pride of Michigan!
..
Rick and Hazel
