Quick! Who would have had right-of-way here if Jens (7663) and Bob had been on converging courses?
If you answered Bob, you were right. Rule 11: Bob would be leeward boat.

..
Going onto the final run, it's still very close in Lasers - with Brad holding his narrow advantage over Steve.
..
So - who had to keep clear here?
If you answered Brad in the Laser, you were right, since Lasers should always keep clear of Wayfarers.
Well... actually, Peter (286) is on starboard while Brad is on port.

..
And here, Peter (Shadow) needs to keep clear of the Y-Flyer.
Both are on port tack and the closer-hauled boat will always be leeward.

..
The Laser action heats up as Steve (156896) may be about to pass Brad (61007).
..
Krista sets the pole nice and gently so that Peter can keep the spi flying ...
..
... until she is ready to take over the sheet ...
..
... and Peter can return to his faster, more forward position in the boat.
..

Excellentlight air downwind form for Peter (286) who stands in the boat so that he can easily move his weight to windward or leeward. Here he heels Shadow to windward in order to reduce weather helm and help the spinnaker to fill more easily. Jens meanwhile, appears to have better breeze and looks to be home free for a win in this race.
..
Bob (3571) appears to be bringing wind from astern and may soon begin to make Peter (286) nervous.
..
The team of Macdougall (r) and Turnbull rounds onto the run in a nice puff...
..
... and sets off to chase the W top three.
..
The Mac Tack spi goes up without a hitch.
..
A close race for the Dart lead nearing the end of beat #2.
..
After tacking, Kool Kat just nicely crosses 2957 (on port tack now) who is however close enough to make this buoys to starboard rounding a nervous one for Kool Kat who will have to cross 2957 at the mark who will be on starboard by then.
..
He does it.
..
2957 gives chase.
..
The sailing-wise ill-favoured Siren (1462) limps towards the end of her second beat as a Hobie prepares to round A.
..
As they near the leeward mark and prepare for a short beat to the finish,
Peter (286), Bob (3571) and Len (r) will finish 2-3-4 behind Jens and Sharon Biskaborn.
