Of course, the problem with going lower, is that there appears to be better wind funnelling along right under the cliff. Then again, the boats closer to shore run the risk that the wind could shift to offshore and leave them in the wind shadow of the cliff. Fun stuff, trying to decide this kind of stuff while keeping your sails trimmed and the opponents off your back!

As the fleet approaches #6 (to be left to starboard), two of the 3 W's have gybed to starboard and, judging by the angle of Bob's (3571) spi, he should do likewise while he can still do so without fouling Jens. Len (r) has let his boat run up too far after gybing and is wasting distance each second he does this!
