We (Uncle Al and Marc

Fred and Dave Black (7379)
and Doug Netherton with Françoise Brosssard tune up. ... |
Just under four minutes to
the start of race 4 as Dave cruises the line. ... |
Lots of good wind clouds as
the final few seconds of the countdown tick away. ... |
Dwight Aplevich (r) got
off to a great start while ... ... |
... Jason with Lori (3140)
and Al with Marc (3854) were busy coping with a juicy gust. ... |
Jason and Lori in a lovely
upwind scene - more vang would help!! ... |
Dave rounds the windward
mark ahead of Alan. ... |
The fleet heads downwind
and downriver. Note W648 (3rd from left) which was sailed for
this afternoon's races by the Codd family: Mike, Darlene and young
Lilly. ... |
The way they finished in
both afternoon races: 1st - Al and Marc (2nd from left), 2nd -
Doug and Françoise (1366) ... |
Dwight hoists the spinnaker
in pursuit of Doug. ... |
Dave and
Carol
(282) look great as they ride a gust while chasing Jason and Lori. The
latter are moving well but showing the classic signs of the pole being
too far aft: (a) the sail edges at the tack make an angle of well under
90°, and (b) the foot of the spi is touching the forestay. Note how
much nicer the 282 spinny is looking!
