A variety of "mooring" options was explored at the beach.

A last check of the beach boats and people and then it's into the restaurant for lunch.

For all except Ab faB  which needed to be rigged and launched ...

Fortunately Kit, Patsy and Rachel were in time to join us for lunch.

A fine-looking group ...
...

we Wayfarer (and Tasar) sailors!
...

Hunger and thirst assuaged, we headed back to Button Bay to get ready for ...
...

... the steak BBQ! Chefs, Dave (l)  and Tom Graefe did full justice to the delicious steaks and potatoes brought by Dick and Margie Harrington as Kevin Pegler (r) was quick to discover. Special thanks from Uncle Al to Ron and Lori Baker who shared one plate for their dinner so that the under-prepared Uncle Al could eat off something more substantial than his hands.
...

Something distracts the food line! Frank Goulay, Al's crew, has arrived at last!!
...

As have Al Baker (centre)  and Roxanne Royce (W658) from Richmond, Vermont who meet Jake Maarse (l).
...

Roxanne and Al - usually Lightning sailors - have restored W658 and are now happy to compare notes with other Wayfarers at last!
While most of the others stayed in the picnic shelter to enjoy a programme of folk and other music, Frank and Al went on a mission of mercy. Unfortunately, the wine and liquor emporium in Vergennes had closed at 8 p.m., so all we got were beer, ice and chocolate bars from the local grocery store.

The return of the rains put a literal damper on many a plan to socialize around campfires. Frank and I for instance, drove over to Tony and Mary’s site where we all sat in Al’s car and had a few beers before deciding an early night would not be all that unacceptable.
